Bath bombs are all the rage thanks to their fun and different ways of making bath time fun and colourful. Bath bombs are a fun way to give yourself a little extra care, for they are not just fizzy shapes which make your bathwater look amazing; some bath bombs have certain benefits and could help you relax or help you feel more energized.
Of course, what benefits your bath bomb offers depends greatly on the ingredients you put in it, or which come in the bath bomb already, so I highly suggest choosing your bath bombs wisely and with intention so you have exactly what your body needs every time you treat yourself to a nice warm bath.
Do It Yourself (DIY) bath bombs are also a really fun way to take a little time to create something for yourself which not only enhances the fun in your bath, but also the mineral content in the bath, and can have great benefits for the body.
One of the best parts about making your own bath bombs is that you have the liberty of choosing the perfect ingredients for yourself and that you can also tailor-make your own bath bomb experience by adding different ingredients into them.
Another great part about making your own bath bombs is that you can use all natural ingredients, and you can add essential oils to them so that you get more benefits from them!
One way you can enhance your bath bombs is by adding CBD to them! Adding CBD to your bath bombs can be a really fun way for you to get the therapeutic CBD experience, making them an essential part of your bathing routine!
Here below I have copied my favourite recipe for you to make your own bath bombs with CBD in them for your ultimate comfort:
Bloomin Good CBD Bath Bombs
To make this CBD rich bath bomb you will need:
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 1/2 cup of citric acid
- 1/2 cup of Epsom salts
- 1 tsp. of water
- 2 tsp. of essential oil
- 3 tsp. of olive oil or coconut oil
- food colouring (of any colour you like, also optional)
- CBD Oil of your choice*
- a bowl
- a glass container or any kind
- a whisk
- a jar
- a bath bomb mould of your choice (we like these ones from Amazon for their fun shapes)
*We suggest using a CBD Oil that is a bit stronger due to the quantity of ingredients that can dilute the CBD effects.
Step One: Mix all the dry ingredients in your bowl, and make sure they are all mixed into each other well using the whisk.
Step Two: Mix all the wet ingredients, including your CBD dose, into your glass container. Don’t forget that this is the more “experimental” step, and you can add different essential oils or fragrances to this mix until you find the one that you like. You can also experiment with colours!
Step Three: While stirring the dry ingredient mix, slowly incorporate your wet ingredient mix one spoonful at a time. Make sure you mix each spoonful of wet ingredients into the dry ingredients very well before adding another spoonful.
Step Four: Once you have made sure that you have mixed your ingredients together well, you can now put your mixture into its moulds. Pack the moulds as tightly as possible, because this will keep your bath bomb from crumbling.
Step Five: ENJOY YOUR BATH BOMB!!!
I think it is important to note that you can make themed bath bombs by combining certain colours with certain scents, and even mould shapes. For example: for a relaxing bath bomb, you can use chamomile or lavender essential oil, and make it a light purple colour; and you can even press dehydrated lavender sprigs into it! Another great example is a summer themed bath bomb, which you can achieve by mixing coconut essential oil or fragrance with pineapple essential oil or fragrance, creating a nice tropical smell and mood!
